Newly-weds-to-be will benefit from this six–week pre-marital program designed to help start life-long partnership off right. The program will strengthen the bonds of partnership and give couples the tools they need to effectively address the issues they encounter as spouses. Pre-Marital Prep is for couples who are engaged to be married or are seriously considering marriage. Groups now forming. Scholarships available. Pre-Marital Prep is a six week program that applies the principals of Emotionally Focused Therapy to the pre-marital relationship. Couples will learn to view their feelings in an attachment context. They will learn to identify and express feelings in ways that foster connection rather than conflict. Doing so will enhance their ability to create a more satisfying marriage that offers security and stability to each partner. About EFT: Emotionally Focused Therapy is a short term approach to marital therapy developed from more than 20 years of research by Sue Johnson and Les Greenberg. Based on models of attachment, EFT is a collaborative process that engages partners in ways that support the creation of a secure partner bond.
